We use a variety of recruiting methods – we post advertisements in local churches and newspapers and also hold job fairs several times per year. Walk-in’s are always welcome at the JSI office. Existing employees are also encouraged to take part in our referral program, to help us recruit the best individuals to join our team.
We recently rolled out an entirely new system for recruiting, called Kwantek. This software creates user friendly online applications, offering people the option of applying for a job from virtually anywhere via the JSI website. This integrated technology has taken our hiring process to the next level. With a seamless data transfer, each applicant’s information is pulled into a database that searches for specific criteria, and brings forth the most qualified potential employees. The applicants are subject to an extensive and timely process, which even includes a personality assessment. All of these factors have helped us seek out and hire the best candidates for our open positions. We have also seen a decrease in turnover as a result of this platform. It also creates a higher level of organization, and communication between our Human Resource representatives and those who are applying for jobs within our organization.
With 850 employees throughout Ohio, strong management is key in our successful operations. With an emphasis on communication, our professional management staff strives to provide unmatched customer service in each of our clients.
Area Managers are supported by the Senior Management Staff. They also have numerous resources in the home office, such as a state of the art training center, as well as a full service warehouse. They also work closely with the following departments:

Special Services Division
JSI employs a large team of experienced fill-in personnel, for the purpose of filling in for absenteeism at various accounts. Each coverage person has been trained in all facilities in their geographic area. They report to their manager daily to receive their assignments, based on where additional employees are needed. This is an extra measure that we take, that allows us to ensure that no areas ever get neglected due to an absence.
We employ 15 IICRC Certified Carpet Care and Floor Care technicians. Each with several years of experience, they have also undergone training through JSI’s continuing education courses, as well as third party certifications. These professional individuals are equipped with the best equipment available for professional carpet and floor care techniques.
JSI employs equipment repair technicians, who work from our warehouse as well as travel to different accounts to repair and inspect our equipment. This benefits us in terms of decreasing down time due to broken equipment. Machines are often repaired on-site, same day, so that we don’t lose any productivity.
Our supply delivery personnel ensure that our buildings are fully stocked with all supplies necessary to perform our nightly tasks. Our delivery personnel work closely with our Area Managers and employees to arrange for seamless and efficient delivery of materials. This leaves all other levels of personnel free to perform the tasks assigned to them, without having to deal with obtaining supplies.
JSI owns a fleet of 8 fully equipped utility vans, specifically for our special service crews.
Health Care Division
JSI has become an industry leader in servicing clients in the healthcare field. With over 100 medical facilities in our Northeast Ohio portfolio, JSI’s healthcare cleaning experience is second to none. We service a wide range of medical environments, and handle the most critical needs, including multiple surgical centers. JSI employees working under our healthcare division undergo extensive training courses, including specialized modules such as HIPAA, COMET, Terminal Cleaning and Infection Control. JSI Healthcare Managers work closely with their employees to ensure proper procedures are being followed to comply with the Joint Commission Standards.
